3 The Ubicom32 architecure was developed by Ubicom, Inc., founded in 1996 as Scenix, Semiconductor, Inc. In 2012, Qualcomm acquired Ubicom and it became part of Qualcomm Atheros. Recent versions of the processor architecture are called Ubi32.
4
5 The processor has an efficient multi-threaded RISC architecture, well suited to routers, streaming media, and networking devices.
